Elyse C. Tipton
Elyse is Director of Advancement for the Strategy Center. An energetic and articulate communications and fundraising professional, she has held senior-level positions with diverse state and national organizations. It’s her job at the Strategy Center to translate complex news and information about chemical safety into clear, persuasive content for our media relations, fundraising, and marketing online and in print.
Prior to joining the Strategy Center in 2015, Elyse was development director at the Center for Grieving Children, where she led staff members and volunteers in building record-breaking support of the Center. She also has served as communications director for Maine Audubon, the state chapter of the National Audubon Society, and has worked and consulted for additional organizations in Washington, D.C., including Advocates for Youth, the National Geographic Society, Reading Is Fundamental, and the Washington Post.
Elyse is an alumnus of the Pennsylvania State University and is certified in fundraising by CFRE International. She has served on the board of the Regional Transportation Program (RTP) for Cumberland County and is a member of the South Portland-Cape Elizabeth Rotary Club and a volunteer for Maine Medical Center, the Maine Cancer Foundation, and other Maine organizations.
