Urge Maine's State Agencies to Investigate and Halt PFAS Contamination

Wednesday, March 20, 2019

You may have heard the news about the dairy farm in Arundel, Maine, ruined by highly toxic chemicals from industrial waste and sewage sludge spread on its hayfields as fertilizer.;

We need to find out whether other Maine farms have been similarly polluted by sludge spreading containing these chemicals known as PFAS, or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances.

Please take action below and email commissioners at Maine's Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Conservation (DACF) to urge them to protect Maine families and farmers by taking immediate action to learn the extent of PFAS contamination in Maine.
